Lee J. Cronbach made major contributions in the fields of educational psychology and psychological testing. He earned his bachelor's degree at Fresno State College, 1934, his master's at the University of California-Berkeley, 1937, and his doctorate at the University of Chicago, 1940. He taught at the State College of Washington, the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois before joining the Stanford faculty in 1964, where he was named Vida Jacks Professor of Education in 1967....
